OBD stands for On-Board Diagnostics. Most vehicles manufactured after the year 1996, come with a 16-pin OBD port that is normally located under the dashboard on the driver’s side. This port can be used to read the diagnostic codes generated by the vehicle that signifies the statuses/issues of various vehicle parts & functions
The AalaCar OBD-II device plugs into a vehicle’s OBD port. Once in, it functions (in addition to many other functions) as an OBD codes scanner. It‘s a built-in controller that controls vital vehicle data, including diagnostics codes as well as other parameters of interest like speed, RPM, throttle position, fuel information, location of the vehicle, etc. It then sends this information to the user’s mobile phone via AalaCar app.
